Step 1
In a microwave-safe bowl, add the rolled oats, raisins, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon, in that order.

Pour the water and milk over the oats. Do not stir.

Microwave for 2 minutes. If adding the highly recommended optional splash of heavy cream, now is the time. Allow to cool for about 1 minute before enjoying.
Note
A sprinkle of unsweetened dried coconut is a welcome addition to the other dry ingredients.
